Reflection: I completely agree with this statement. Kindness SHOULD be the essence of greatness. But sadly in reality that's not true. There's terrible people out there that are millionaires(which is apparently considered achieving greatness) that are TERRRIBLE and selfish people but they have achieved earning all that money by inheritance or false success. This world has came to a point in which money has taken over. A piece of paper has over powered our minds. It shouldnt be that way. Money should not be important but in reality it is, It makes us greedy and blind therefore forgetting about whats really important which is kindness.

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving day isn't the happy celebration of peace Amercians claim it is to be. It is a violent, horrifying massacre of hundreds of Native Indians that were slaughtered or abducted from their homes to become slaves for the English. On top of that, the English took all their land

 English explorers sailed to England with a ship full of Patuxet Indians bound for slavery. They left behind smallpox which wiped out those who had escaped.  By the time the Pilgrims arrived in Massachusetts Bay they found only one living Patuxet Indian, a man named Squanto who had survived slavery in England and knew their language.  He taught them to grow corn and to fish, and negotiated a peace treaty between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Nation. At the end of their first year, the Pilgrims held a great feast honoring Squanto and the Wampanoags. 

But as word spread in England about the paradise to be found in the new world, religious Puritans began arriving by the boat load. Finding no fences around the land, they considered it to be in the public domain. Joined by other British settlers, they seized land, capturing young Natives for slaves and killing the rest.  But the Pequot Nation had not agreed to the peace treaty Squanto had negotiated and they fought back. The Pequot War was one of the bloodiest Indian wars ever fought.  

In 1637 near present day  Groton, Connecticut, over 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival which is our Thanksgiving celebration. the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries who ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death while the terrified women and children who huddled inside the longhouse were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared "A Day Of Thanksgiving" because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered.

Cheered by their "victory", the brave colonists and their Indian allies attacked village after village. Women and children over 14 were sold into slavery while the rest were murdered.  Boats loaded with as much as 500 slaves .Following an especially successful raid against the Pequot in what is now  Stamford, Connecticut, the churches announced a second day of "thanksgiving" to celebrate victory over the heathen savages.  During the feasting, the hacked off heads of Natives were kicked through the streets like soccer balls.  Even the  Wampanoag did not escape the madness. Their chief was beheaded, and his head impaled on a pole in Plymouth, Massachusett where it remained on display for 24 years.  

Reflection: Even though I truly believe the true reason why we celebrate Thanksgiving is a complete obomination. I still think it is a great holiday for the people that dont really know the true reason why we celebrate it. 

I dont celebrate thankgiving for the victory on the English murderers but because of the people im grateful for.

Reflection; if something is not right for example...doing something that you know will hurt one of your loved ones, do not do it,

Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities: Assisting the dentist over a variety of treatment procedures.

Taking a developing dental radio graphs

Asking about the patients dental history and taking the pulse

Helping feel patients feel comfortable before and after the procedure. 

Salary: 34,500 

Education: They need to have a High school diploma. They also need a 1-year of a certificate program.Courses may include dental materials, radiology, chair side assisting, dental office administration and biomedical science. 

Reflection: No, I dont think I would like to become one because looking into people's mouths isnt my thing. I wouldnt want to be anybody's assistant either. 

Dental Lab Technician 

Duties and Responsiblities: Maintaining and improving patient's oral health by fabricating fixed or removable protheses according to dentist perscriptions. They are responsible for replacing or fixing partial or total loss of natural teeth. They work with a variety of materials including waxes, plastics.. 

They also fix teeth by straightening them up.

Salary: 54,000

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.Students interested in this carreer should focus on Math, science, information technology, woodshop and art. 

Reflection: No, i dont think i would like to become one because i've never actually had an interest in having anything to do in the doctorate carreer. I want a job i have a passion for. Fixing people's teeth isnt really my thing.

Reflection: The actions and Decisions we make daily make a great impact on our future, whether great or small. Making good and pure decisions can lead us to a pure and clean path. Life is filled with bad temptations but our job as good human beings is to avoid becoming a bad person and to live humbly and good. 

Veterans Day 

On th 11th of November every year, we celebrate a day called Veterans Day, which is the anniversity of the end of world war 1. Veterans day is a day in which we appreciate American Veterans that have serve the U.S armed forces.

  In 1954 the president signed a bill establishing the holiday through congress and changing the name of Veterans Day to include all Veterans, not just those of World War 1.

  

There are over 23.2 veterans that the United States honors in Veterans Day .

Reflection: I think this quote means that being honest and fair is more important than winning or losing. It’s just a game, you shouldn’t lose your integrity just to win a game. Winning or losing doesn’t define who you are but your honesty does.

refelction: I think this means that the people that you hang out with influences who you are as a person whether you like it or not. If you hang out with the wrong crowd that like to do drugs, then you will end up like them. But if you hang out with good people, you will also be a good person. 

Dance/Movement Therapist

Duties and Responsiblities: Dance movement therapist use dance and movements to enable a person's  spiritual, emotional and mental emotions. They encourage new patterns of movements and emotional development. They note patient's movemtn behavior to help get deeper into the person's personal emotions or experiences. 

Salary: 40,00-50,000

Education: This proffesion takes a lot of high level education and courses and intense training. They need a Master's degree which includes two years of graduate level education after completing a 4 year college degree. Plus extensive dance training. 

Reflection: No i don't think i would like to become one because i've never been into dancing and i wouldn't want to do something that i don't enjoy for the rest of my life.
