Duties and Responsibilities: Western medicine is the term used to describe the treatment of medical conditions with medications, by doctors, nurses and other conventional healthcare providers who employ methods developed according to Western medical and scientific traditions.

These docotors are well known and compete with Eastern medicial doctors

Education: Must pass a vary of board exams, educated in all the same bases as a medical doctor.

Reflection: No I dont think I would like to become one, I want nothing to do with being a doctor of any kind, the job career just doesn't attract me.

Eastern Medicine Doctors

Duties and Responsiblilties: A traditional chinese medicine, and was a healing system developed in china more than 2,000 years ago. It focuses on strengthing the body's defenses and enchancing it's capability to heal and to maintain healthy .

- Tuina
-Acupressure 
-Cupping 


Salary: 58,958


Education: Doctor of naturopathy or Doctor of naturopathic degree. (depends on what you want to major in) 



Reflection: No, I don't think I would want to become one because it doesn't grab my attention in any way. Well it does seem interesting in it's own way but it's not something that I would want to explore further. I'm not interested in chinese medicine or performing any medical job.

Chinese (Oriental) Medicine

Duties and Responsibilities: Use herbal medicines and have various mind and body practices, such as acupuncture, tai chi, qi gong, and tuina in order to treat health problem. Restores health and balance.

Salary: $52,000

Education: MSOM degree (master of oriental medicine) and 2 years of training





Reflection: Yes i would like to become on because acupuncture fascinates me a lot and i think it would be a very intersing career, Chinese medicine also is interesitng, the fact that this medicine has been around for hundreds of years.

Duties and Responsibilities: Cardiologists review your medical records and preform a physical examination which includes checking your blood pressure, height, weight.. Your cardiologist might also give you advice for a healthier life style.

Education: four years of medical school and three years in training of internal medicine. After this, cardiologist spent about three more years in special training.



Reflection: Yes, I would like to beome one because i think it'll be an intersting job, plus the pay is good.

They’re responsible for solving and analyzing problems with biology and medicine.

Education: 4 year post/secondary training. Phd in medicine. and bachelors degree in biomedical engineering. 



 Reflection: i dont think i would want to become one because engineering is not something i would want to do .
